What is the correct amount of water you should drink daily to be properly hydrated?
“Eight 8/10-ounce glasses daily” OR “half of your body weight in ounces daily” OR “drink as soon as you begin to feel thirsty” are valid reminders to people of the importance of hydration but they fall short of truly helping a person hydrate their bodies properly because they unfortunately are not more than myths of generic nature that have no real scientific merits behind them. Daily water intakes needs vary from one person to the next based on gender, body composition type, age, lifestyle and activity level.
